The former member of city council noted: according to what authorities claim, 85 percent of men and 10 percent of women are addicted to drugs in that area. It leads to a lot of problems such as poverty and has wide negative effects on children and creates a base for social damages and increases its risk.
In her four-day trip, Daneshvar went to Iranshahr province and along with social activists of Iranshahr, mentioned social problems and shortcomings of area.
She mentioned that one of the biggest problems of Iranshahr, as well as Sistan and Baluchistan is lack of nursery houses and mentioned: there is only one nursery house in Zahedan and considering how wide and big this city is, and the distance between its provinces, lack of nursery houses has led to problems for children and has made them very vulnerable in this respect.
In the end of her trip, CEO of Mehrafarin visited Karimabad and Shirabad areas in Zahedan and talked about the most important social problem of the area: the situation and life condition of suburbs are very abominable and there are no crisis centers or social centers to present any services to citizens.
Another problem in that area are women whom have married Afghan men, which has made them unable to have ID cards for their children, and due to lack of ID cards, they are not able to receive health care services such as free milk powder from hygiene centers or any other social facilities.
Their only concern is the future of their children.
In the end Daneshvar noted: in order to help deprived people in above-mentioned areas and in order to recognize new ways of social obstacles and problems, Mehrafarin hired some consolers from the citizens of that area to give services. They will receive trainings in Tehran and then will return back to help fight social problems.
