Reza Sadeghi definitely played a major role in gathering all those people in Milad tower. They participated in a concert that was dedicated to help a charity. We are sitting down with Reza Sadeghi to talk about events that are held to help charities.
Q: how serious was your election as ambassador of Mehrafarin?
A: it is very serious of course. We will have more concerts for charitable affairs in future, definitely. We have planned other activities that will soon cover and do.
Q: how many of the concerts are exactly done for charitable purposes?
A:ofcourse, there are not a lot of programs like this in Iran, but whether they are charitable or not that is a question you better ask program planner.
Q: so let’s talk about this concert, how much of it was dedicated to charity?
A: history and identity of this charity is crystal clear and its staff is very responsible in their activities.
Q: was there any special situation for doing this concert?
A: no , there was a long conversation with charity authorities and when I realized their goals and activities they have done so far, I get a result that maybe it is now the best time to help them in any manner I can do , although very little.
Q: in the conversation I had earlier with charity authorities, they claim that a lot of celebrities are taking financial aspect of such concerts into consideration and in a lot of cases it leads to fraud or problems alike. Keeping this in mind isn’t speaking about your colleagues in this manner, bothering you?
A: each person is only responsible for what he/she does. I know about such events but I rather do not talk about that now. I should walk in my own path and be different from mentioned celebrities. I should try to be honest; all I can say is that I am truly sorry for them.
Q: we believe that maybe celebrities have heard negative and incorrect things about charities, that is why think that only a small parts of benefits are dedicated to charities, maybe that is why they behave like that to make sure.
A: maybe this way of looking at such programs is also correct. I certainly don’t approve that, but maybe thinking like that cause such problems today. If we know more about charities and know more about their history and what they have done so far and this turns into a social habit, we will have more positive re-attitude in this respect.
When we are holding a concert, we should also think about advertising and informing every one about the charity and not have limitation for concert night only.
