Warm kanexes* of Mehrafarin shelter a new family each day
The process of installing kanexes in areas dealing with earthquake still continues and by solving the challenge of affording kanexes, it will speed up.
As we discussed earlier, residents will live in kanexes based on consolers’ ideas present in the area and the priority is with families that have infants, children and their mothers, pregnant ladies, physically impaired or hurt residents and the ones who have lost their families, since dimensions of the damage is very vast and we unfortunately face limitation of sources.
Experience from Bam earthquake showed that after this stage, it is vital that consultation and psychological sessions be held for residents.
Since the ones who have lost their families do not seek any consultation to solve their issues, it is very important that consolers are present in the area and will stay there so that this period of depression and morale problems are over.
All Mehrafarin kanexes carry Mehrafarin logo and based on an agreement, signed and accepted by native residents, they are handed to families in need.
After the period of sheltering in kanexes is over, kanexes will be returned to Mehrafarin and will be used for following purposes:
1) Used as schools in deprived areas and villages of Sistan-and-Baluchistan or other areas that lack schools or schools with minimum facilities.
2) Used as shelters for poor families and children in suburbs that live in garbage or areas with brick-houses that mostly lack educational, hygienic or else like facilities.
3) Used as a shelter for homeless people.
A part of society under Mehrafarin support are categorized in above-mentioned groups and in future, kanexes will be dedicated to them, after the problems of earthwuake residents are finally over.
