At 17:00 on 6th Khordad, right in front of Arikeh Iranian hall, a large population is waiting to participate in a ceremony dedicated to thank donors and supporters that have been a part of Mehrafarin charity throughout all these years on 17:30 the doors are open and journalists as well as invitees enter the hall, Mani Rahnama is doing sound check on stage. Tonight he and Reza Yazdani perform pop music pieces throughout the night.

Right after he performs his piece, he is told that the great musician and composer, Dr. Sareer is present in the salon. Mani Rahnama continues: I am standing in front of my teacher and it makes it very hard for me. Widely welcomed for his talented performance, he then talks about a great composer and musician, Mr. Andre Arzoomanyan and adds: on the last days of his life last year, we were working together on an album, may he rest in peace. “Koja Be Khande Miresim” was the last piece that he edited for me, regardless of his bad physical condition and illness.
As everyone waited, Mani Rahnama performed the beloved song from “Mersedes” movie, directed by Masoud Kimiyaee. A song from the late 70s that made him famous and the loud applause of the audience was proving that they know this artist largely for this piece. The stage was very simply designed but yet beautiful and eye-catching and the lights gave a special tone after performance tone to that.
After performance of Mani Rahnama, Farzad Hasani walked on stage, welcomed sincerely and loudly by audience. After walking on stage, he greeted every one and talked alittle about later Naser Hejazi: let’s remember this great and lovely person, may he rest in peace.
To begin with, Hasani talks about activities of Mehrafarin from 1386 up to today and mentions the name of those who have received Mehrafarin badge so far. CEO of Kahrizak charity, Ashraf Ghandehari, Hasan Mahootchiyan, Ali Parvin, Ezatollah Entezami , just to name a few.

Entezami thanks the audience and talks about bad physical condition: I am really thankful to all these charitable souls, one by one and I am sorry because I can’t stand while I am talking. Considering my illness is here to say that we are in need of kindness, attention and help. I said this earlier it is not like we don’t have compassion or kindness in our soul, but we don’t share it with others unfortunately. We were doing much better in past. I have no idea what happened. Support and participate in such charities so that they can continue their activities.
After a short clip was played about presence of Merila Zarei as ambassador of Mehrafarin and what she has done so far, she first bowed to Ezatollah Entezami and after asking his permission, she walked on stage: I am asking his permission and bow in front of this legend and I ask god to give me the ability to talk for a few moments. Today I am in a population of great donors and supporters and I am thankful to god in this respect.
She continued: in our lives, sometimes we are hosts and sometimes guests but we all are guests on the planet with our short and soon-ending lives. Se, we have a very short time to create better living conditions for other human beings. We all have one responsibility in life. Some although have less and some have more facilities and welfare and the ones who have less are turning into sad people of society.
The actress of “Darbareye Eli” continues: they have hearts that are miserable but with your helping hands and conditions, we can create cheerful moments for them, as well. I wish that we all have the equal responsibility of life, we are trying to be kind to one another in this society, I demand god to help us in our path. Live performance of Reza Yazdani was another interesting part of the program that was welcomed by audience. Reza yazdani and his team performed 6 pieces that among them “Laleh Zaar” and “Khalij-e-Fars” was given extra applause and attention. While singing “Laleh Zaar”Yazdani talks about Khosro Shakibayi and Masood Kimiyayi : “ Jorm” a movie directed by Masood Kimiyayi is right now in cinemas , it is a good movie, watch and enjoy.
After beautiful performance of Reza Yazdani, it was the time to thank Jamshid Edalatian, Mehdi Mohamadzadeh, Ahmad hellat, Fariba Ghavamipour, Mohamad Hosein Fakhri, Alireza Bitarafyan and etc. who have helped Mehrafarin in different ways. The last parts of badge donation belong to Rakhshan Bani Etemad. Star such as Fariborz Arabnia, Mohamad Sareer, Bita Farahi, Merila Zarei and Fatemeh Daneshvar walk on stage. While inviting Arabnia and Farahi, Hasani talks about their history and people did their best by applauses. Farahi was filled with emotions and thanked the audience.
Before Rakhshan Bani Etemad speech, Fariborz Arabnia talks: I didn’t mean to speak today, please excuse me Ms. Bani Etemad and all of you present in the salon, I am sorry that I couldn’t participate in the event in a good way. I am really busy these days, I couldn’t go home and get ready to attend the event I would like to thank all the donors that form a big family together and I am sure that their hearts won’t stop heating as long as they care for one another. I want to mention that life is much more beautiful with their presence.
The invitees then took photos on stay together and the population leaves the salon one by one. Outside everyone is taking photos and asking for autographs with their favorite celebrities and directors.
Farzad hasani proved his efficiency in live performances once again, doing his best in remembering names and nice invitations to stage.
The authorities responsible in holiday the event did their best to host journalists and media representatives. Reza Yazdani, popular among journalists, thanked media people for their participation, so did Farzad Hasani.
In this event, director of movies such as: “Zir-E-Poost-e-Shahr” , “Khoon bazi” , “Narges” and etc. Rakhshan Bani Etemad was thanked for her presence in making documentaries and movies showing social problems.
Thanking the director of “Banooye Ordibehesht” movie was the last part of this ceremony that was done with presence of Bita Farahi, Fariborz Arabnia, Jahangir Kosari, Merila Zarei, Mohamad Sareer and CEO of Mehrafarin, Fatemeh Daneshvar on stage.
Before invitation of Bani Etemad to walk on stage for receiving her badge, critic of cinema, Reza Dorostkar talked about characteristics of her movies and then a short clip was showed from this director.
Rakhshan Bani Etemad, applauded by people and by invitation of Farzad Hasani walked on stage and notes: I don’t say this because of modesty, but I believe that in comparison with what Fatemeh Daneshvar and other donors have done with my activities, I don’t deserve this badge.
A small activity that I do in comparison with the great energy that exists in the country and charitable affairs is almost nothing. As I get older, I can observe more pain in the community and the domain of the pain and poverty increases. People are not less today, but they are less present in this path.
This director continues: what I say is neither a slogan nor speech. But I always have it in mind and believe that organization that must have effective steps to remove discrimination and poverty haven’t proved successful enough.
Hopefully in this situation there are some charities that do something to help and do effective measurements.
She added: once I said, I wish there is a day that I have no subject for making movies, the characters of my movies are real, they don’t even represent a role, they sometimes are from many characters and my imaginations is true because I am in contact with such people, unfortunately. People let us enter their private lives and privacy, they talk about their problems and pains, but when directors should take an action and reflect this pain, we turn into audience and unfortunately just watch what is going on.
After her speech, Mehrafarin badge was donated to this director and representing cinema house, Mohamad Sareer, gifted another certificate to her as well.
