Never ending days for Mehrdad to leave his addiction

He is in pain, cannot tolerate anymore, he wants to play but his addiction won’t let him do so.

Due to Mehrafarin reports, Sanaz was born 5 months ago in one of Tehran’s hospitals.

When Sanaz was born and the nurses discovered that her mother is addicted to drugs, they banned her from breast feeding her infant.

Social activist of Mehrafarin institute, Miss Atefeh Kiaahmadi clarifies: as soon as I was informed, I rushed to hospital. She added: after doing the primary consultations and by cooperation done by hospital authorities, Sanaz was fed by milk powder. Later Sanaz started receiving special health care to detoxify her body of drugs.

This social activist noted: in the consultation process, we discovered that the family has another child named Mehradad, who is unfortunately trapped in addiction.

Sanaz parents are addicted to drugs for years and their first baby, Mehrdad, who is 3 years old is also addicted. He has not only used opium, but also abused methadone.

In this respect, Mehrafarin charity started taking measurements for his treatment.

Kiaahmadi: Mehradad is almost three years old. He was breast feed so he got addicted to drugs through his mother’s milk.

Because of using drugs, Mehrdad is very weak and thin and he can barely walk.

Mehrafarin activist continues: by cooperation done with a hospital in Tehran, he was hospitalized to start his medical treatments.

Medical treatments have started, but due to his weak physical condition, he struggles with a lot of difficulties.

As Mehrafarin reports, two weeks have passed since his hospitalization and he is passing his treatment procedure to leave his addiction. In this period, Mehrafarin offered its supportive measurements, hand in hand with its members, for Mehrdad and sanaz’s parents to start their treatments, in all aspects.
